yeah, compared to 7, 8 was a breeze. 9 is not as fun and the last dungeon is rough too.noiseredux wrote:D8 is done (and surprisingly easy).

Forgot about magic on Dungeon 6 boss!noiseredux wrote:Dungeon 6 was insane. I did leave, farm for horns, and buy the stuff to fix my armor. I went back and my strategy was to progress as much as I could and if I died, I'd then leave the dungeon and farm nearby for hearts and magic. I didn't mind that this would respawn enemies in the dungeon. It made it much easier if I had high heart levels.
The dungeon 6 boss was one of the easiest. I stood in the doorway, and shot the Thunder Magic. He was dead really quick.
Oh and regarding keys, I'm not sure what you guys are doing differently, but again I have not encountered this key shortage problem. In fact, having just beat D6 (with the Ice Bell) I still have an extra key. (?)
ANYWAY, what do I want to do before I enter D7?*
(now I have Nirvana's cover of "D-7" in my head...)
D7 rocks, and so does the original band behind it

Huge fan of Wipers.
Now that that's out of the way, be sure to get the extra heart and the fire scroll (featuring the final GA character!) before getting to Dimension (dungeon) 7.
INTRIGUE SUCH INTRIGUE!

Ok, I'll just say one thing: if you've never heard the Melvins' cover of "Youth of America," then yr missing out. But let's not derail this thread too much.

That's a worthy de-rail, my friend.
Nirvana also covered Return of The Rat.
HA!
Ok... Dungeon 7 later today!

I feel like an idiot. I'm in D9 and only now realize that the flame will light a room no matter where you are standing in the room. The whole game I've felt my way through dark rooms to get to the candles cuz I thought I had to use the flame ON the candles.

Re: Together Retro: Golden Axe Warrior
there's lots of going from warp to warp in that one to first get the item and then get to the boss. It was probably the only dungeon where I left after getting the item, went and built up health and magic in the easy parts of the map, and then came back for the final boss.noiseredux wrote:even with a map, I'm pretty lost in D10.
Looks like you are going to finish it tonight with a little luck
