sega games vs snes games. snes still more expensive
Re: sega games vs snes games. snes still more expensive
Like brunoafh said, graphics and sound quality are subjective. Are there any more games that have notable level differences? Like my favorite example: Adventures of Batman and Robin

The Sega CD version (kind of MD....) of Earthworm Jim has a few extra levels over any other version. I'm sure there are lot's of differences like that. The MD version of MK1 had blood, but the SNES did not (even with codes).

I think you could find better versions of a game on both ends. It really depends on the developer and how good they were at developing a game for that particular system.
I know I would much rather play Thunder Force III on the GEN then Thunder Spirits on the SNES. I'm sure that the SNES could have handled a much better version of this game, but it was never made.

Well I mean if someone told me they preferred the Game.com to the Gameboy I would raise my eyebrows, but I wouldn't tell him he was wrong and that the Gameboy is unquestionably the better device. Who knows, maybe he just has a lot of nostalgia for the Game.com? If he gets more enjoyment out of it than the Gameboy, good for him. To each his own.dunpeal2064 wrote:I dunno, there are some consoles that I think completely outdid their competition.

I'm not totally sure if this counts but I'd rather play Doom on the 32x than the super nintendo any day of the week.

Thats true. If someone really enjoys something, thats all that matters. For my own personal opinion though, I would consider some consoles to be much more well-rounded than others (which I suppose is my main method of judging a console)brunoafh wrote:Well I mean if someone told me they preferred the Game.com to the Gameboy I would raise my eyebrows, but I wouldn't tell him he was wrong and that the Gameboy is unquestionably the better device. I would not be so stubborn as to attack someone else's opinion and consider it completely wrong just because I felt different though. That would just be silly.
Oddly enough, I would much rather play the SNES version.harper wrote:I'm not totally sure if this counts but I'd rather play Doom on the 32x than the super nintendo any day of the week.

Ha ha. Its only because of the music, which, due to nostalgia, is my favorite part of Doom.
Makes me so sad that the Wii's hombrew version of Doom, which added motion controls, had no music at all. Made the game unplayable for me.

I love the music too. I think we all do though. I'll stick to the PC version myself heh.

I'll admit, the music in the snes version is pretty badass. haha I just prefer the feeling of the controls in the 32x version which is probably weird for me to say.dunpeal2064 wrote:Ha ha. Its only because of the music, which, due to nostalgia, is my favorite part of Doom.
Sounds gross. hahadunpeal2064 wrote:Makes me so sad that the Wii's hombrew version of Doom, which added motion controls, had no music at all. Made the game unplayable for me.
