I don't care how long the thread is, if it has outlived its usefulness it should be put down. The fact is that a lot of folks agree with me that the "Finds" thread has become a wasteland of people posting mundane purchases (sometimes with excruciating detail), and it is no longer a fun thread to read. I'd love to see a new thread with genuinely compelling finds in which I'd perk up when i see there's a new post made.elmagicochrisg wrote:I'm a major butthurt!?... Hey, I'm not the one trying to lock a +1000 pages thread here and forcing us to use a new set of threads which will only confuse most members even more. Seriously, see how many people will like that idea...Rocketman wrote:Man, you're major butthurt about all this. It's actually kind of embarrassing.elmagicochrisg wrote:Yeah, well, fuck you too...
So while I might want to personally close the "Finds" thread, I would never just do so unilaterally - I have been and always will be a big proponent of discussion, voting, etc. That's why I offered a poll as soon as some people raised objections to the idea of just out and out closing it.
