Thinking about getting a 360 for shmups

BTW, I've heard that Irem is doing pretty poorly financially, so I'd recommend getting R-Type Dimensions from XBLA in case it ends up getting taken down at some point.

Ok so I got the Deathsmiles bundle ordered. Now here is my list of games to get next.

Raiden IV
Raiden Fighters Aces
Otomedius
Espgaluda II
Mushihimsama Futari

Then maybe try out XBLA. Also, I'm thinking about making a custom shmup skin for the 360 to go with the faceplate.

oh man dodonpachi is the best xbox 360 shmup by far, we are soo lucky they let the pal version work with ntsc. though the last boss is bat shit insane hard and im not even talking about the TLB, but this is to be expected with donpachi games lol

Just picked up a copy of Raiden IV at gamestop. Wierdly the guy would not sell it to me saying "according to NY state law, I am not allowed to sell games that have been traded in for 15 days, blah blah" I was like, dude I can't find this game anywhere and you have 1 copy and ebay prices are higher. So after I kept asking he was like ok here you go its yours. Ehhhhh so dumb.

i think its that they are worried that people will steal games and then sell them at game stop, still a dumb law though

Similar laws exist here in MA too.

As for DDP DFK (Resurrection), it's a solid game. I prefer DOJ by a long shot, but both are great.

It is mainly aimed at pawn shops since that's a place thieves go to unload whatever they've lifted.
