Awesome. Work hasn't stopped on my end although it came to a halt during the holiday season as well. Got some cool stuff going though, and the sprite work is great!

I'm taking a small holiday break. I'll start writing again soon though. :D

Also, I would have already posted the midi I was working on but the software I usually use to convert midi to mp3 is giving me shit. Does any one know of a site that's like YouTube only for audio files? Specifically one that will let you upload midis? I found a few, but I'd rather not sign up for one unless I hear positive feedback from some one I know (like you good people).

http://midiworld.com/files/upload/

Used Google quick and found that site. Uploaded a midi and it seems legit. Didn't even have to sign up. Here's the first song I did: http://www.midiworld.com/files/1468

The drums are just one continuous loop so I need to fix that, also the file isn't a perfect loop yet. I also wanted to change the sample that starts at the :30 mark.

(Christ, my laptop's sound card makes this midi sound terrible. Need to set my own samples and make this an mp3 asap.)

Don't worry, mine one track so far is largely unfinished as well.

I tried to upload just now and it gave me an error. Also, it wouldn't stream your song, but I was able to download it and listen to it in WMP. I'll try again later.

Did you notice on the right side, you're listed as #2 top artist/composer?

edit: Did you see this site? http://www.midishrine.com/index.php?site=upload

The stream didn't work for me either. The download worked though so I figured it was good enough just to utilize the site to file-share.

I did see I was listed there... not sure what to make of that.

Just tried to use Midi Shrine and didn't have a problem. Just gives you a direct DL link.

There's the first song I've written for this game. Keep in mind that it's not completely finished yet. Still, feel free to be brutally honest with me about it. Common practice is to write more songs than you need and cherry pick the best ones. I literally pulled this one out of my ass, so if you don't wanna use it, no problem.

The end always gets cut off on midi files, not sure why that always happens. But since it's looped, you can hear the "end" in the middle some where.

All the voices can obviously be changed easily, I just picked these because they sounded very video game like to me. And again, it's not finished. There's a lack of percussion (mainly cymbals and whatnot) and other minor tweaks that should be made.

It'll be unusable for this game, but this is some good menu music I wrote.

I swear, I might have heard that in a NES game or something. Menu music, or between level/continue screen/password screen music.

The first 20 seconds are awesome, I love what you did with :17-:22. :22-:30 feels like it needs something though, that main lead is somewhat repetitive and feels a little boring. What you did at :31-:37 is great though, so perhaps the little section between those could use some composition brush up, or some other layers maybe? I'm ignoring the percussion for the most part because it sounds like you just did what I did with mine, just threw something in there for the time being. Overall I like it, but I think you can make it better.

I'm also interested in any comments/criticism on the song I posted from anyone. I share the same philosophy as you with the whole make a bunch of songs and pick the good ones out thing though Ziggy.

I have a bunch of un-used midis that might work for the game but I'm not sure. I feel like parts of this one could work: http://midishrine.com/midi/44431.mid

Haha what's wrong with that menu music?? Seems perfect for something happy like Berserk!

Thanks for the kind words. Once I get something playable going I'll post it.
