It sets up Dual Shock 3 controller use on PC. You can use bluetooth or USB. Then enable 360 controller emulation. It works flawlessly with all games that support the 360 controller. Aside from the button prompts of course. Its how I am playing the game though.

I don't get why you dislike Dimps so much. Sonic Rush and Colors DS which they also made were pretty good, which is probably why they were chosen to do the 3DS version of generations. They also made Sonic Advance 1 - 3 so I would say on the whole they have been doing a much better job at making Sonic games than Sega has in recent years.

Yeah, Dimps has done a pretty good job for the most part. That being said, I hate the cheap "pit of death" that plaques their level designs.
I don't really like Planet Wisp in SG very much either.
The Japanese version of Sonic Generations 3DS has a different name, if it makes you guys feel better. It's called Sonic Generations: Ao no Bouken (Blue's Adventure).

I don't feel like I'm making excuses though. I'm just not interested in dicking around with my PC for gaming. I don't want to buy more controllers. I don't want to mess with settings. You already own a USB controller
"Dicking around" in Steam RARELY has to be done and generally requires less effort than moderating RB.
there arena ton more free games and super-cheap (and indie) games on the PC.
not one that I've been able to get working on a PC. I was never able to get my DualShock3, a PS2 controller via USB adapter, OR my MadCatz stick to work. I tried messing with various emulator settings, and tried TWO different programs that were supposed to recognize PS2 and PS3 controllers on PC to no avail. After an hour or two of this I remembered that I didn't like dicking around with a PC to play a game.

but you already HAVE the platform, you just aren't using it. Never playing PC games would be like having a Game Boy in the closet that you never touch.

I meant, "I don't need another platform to get MORE games for and get controllers for and setup and spend time on."
SOMEDAY I plan to set up a whole seperate gaming PC. But that someday is not today, or even the near future. It will be someday when I have a house and more room for more stuff. But right now, I just don't and I'm more content to have some sort of focused collection to explore instead.

PS3 controller works great with most doujin games. With Steam games I use Motioninjoy to have it emulate a 360 controller. Works perfectly. BAM. DONE. DO IT NOW.
