But yeah, Crusader is the shit, I love that game.

Playstation too apparently, lol.

@Ryan and others: How are the console ports anyways? A

And No Remorse is the second game right? They both look great to me. Love me some isometric games.

EDIT: Holy balls both games are $3 on GOG right now. Heck everything is on sale..., hope I get my first paycheck before January 2nd. lol

It's Crusader. Personally I don't really care for the tank controls but the alternate method works okay, even if it's a bit clunky still.

Oh. Tank Controls.

Crusader does work around this fairly well -- the action isn't that fast and furious. Kinda like the 'stop-n-go' mechanics of StarTropics (NES) where you were hindered by moving one step at a time, but so were your enemies. In this game, you also have 'command rolling' in the cardinal directions with a fixed camera to quickly move from one cover to the next, sending out remote controlled spider-bombs when you can (as you should).

Remorse is first, Regret is after.

This is one of the greatest game series in my opinion. Classic fun, tense action, great soundtrack, and thanks to gog.com playable on modern systems. I highly recomend it to anyone.

As far as the saturn version, I also highly recomend it. It is ever so slightly inferior to the PC version in terms of graphics, and the heavy save game block requirement. However, playing with a controller is a real treat. I have both versions, and love both. If you want a great review of the saturn version, check out the classic game room youtube review. pretty funny stuff.

I really wanted to get the Saturn version, but unfortunately it didn't get an NTSC-J release, and I only collect NTSC-J Saturn games. Sadness...

How does the SS version compare to the PC version?

Exactly the same as far as I can tell.
