It's Crusader. Personally I don't really care for the tank controls but the alternate method works okay, even if it's a bit clunky still.Xeogred wrote:Playstation too apparently, lol.brunoafh wrote:What!? Crusader is on Saturn? News to me.
But yeah, Crusader is the shit, I love that game.
@Ryan and others: How are the console ports anyways? A
And No Remorse is the second game right? They both look great to me. Love me some isometric games.
EDIT: Holy balls both games are $3 on GOG right now. Heck everything is on sale..., hope I get my first paycheck before January 2nd. lol

Oh. Tank Controls.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:It's Crusader. Personally I don't really care for the tank controls but the alternate method works okay, even if it's a bit clunky still.
Crusader does work around this fairly well -- the action isn't that fast and furious. Kinda like the 'stop-n-go' mechanics of StarTropics (NES) where you were hindered by moving one step at a time, but so were your enemies. In this game, you also have 'command rolling' in the cardinal directions with a fixed camera to quickly move from one cover to the next, sending out remote controlled spider-bombs when you can (as you should).

Re: Crusader: No Remorse
This is one of the greatest game series in my opinion. Classic fun, tense action, great soundtrack, and thanks to gog.com playable on modern systems. I highly recomend it to anyone.
As far as the saturn version, I also highly recomend it. It is ever so slightly inferior to the PC version in terms of graphics, and the heavy save game block requirement. However, playing with a controller is a real treat. I have both versions, and love both. If you want a great review of the saturn version, check out the classic game room youtube review. pretty funny stuff.

I really wanted to get the Saturn version, but unfortunately it didn't get an NTSC-J release, and I only collect NTSC-J Saturn games. Sadness...

How does the SS version compare to the PC version?brunoafh wrote:I really wanted to get the Saturn version, but unfortunately it didn't get an NTSC-J release, and I only collect NTSC-J Saturn games. Sadness...
