THANK YOU. I always hated the stupid SMA numbering.

Oh, good one. That whole series of games had confusing titles. What were they thinking?
Beats me.

At least No. 3 was only Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 and not Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Not really. They're all organized by genre and are in alphabetical order in Japanese game shops. You just have to look at the first kanji. I never have a problem. So it doesn't matter if the title has one kanji or one hundred. In the case of Mamorukun, you just look in the 'Shooting' section under 'ma'. You'll be out of the store in seconds!

Figuring out the true order of the Fire Emblem games has annoyed me before as well...

That would've been awesome.

Games have always had strange names, but the ones like Mortal Kombat and Ninja Gaiden were just ridiculous.

On a related note, I just bought a new Canon camera. Canon has two different lines of cameras: a line that started with S10, and a line that started with S100. Both started around the year 2000. Eventually, the S100 line reached S1000 numbering. Last year, the S10 line reached S95. What were they going to do for the next model number? Yep, S100. So there are officially two "Canon PowerShot S100" cameras.

I always hated the games with excessive subtitles such as, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords.

I think it's Contra 4 because it's the 4th game where you play as the characters in the original. Contra, Super C, Contra III: The Alien Wars, and then years later Contra 4. Every other Contra game starred someone else, IIRC. Contra Force wasn't even really a Contra game, it just got the name slapped on there to sell more copies.
