To post pertinenantly this time, I like the SNES version most. However this might be since it was what I've had the most exposure to. The graphics are undeniably better than NES (more color, detail, etc) and the music is smoother and more real-sounding. It also has backup battery save, which I prefer, since I was never able to beat SMB3 in one sitting even back when I had the time to do so. If you're a purist and simply "gotta have it" on the original NES, though, you might have to take that route. I know personally I can't stand the SNES Mario All Stars version of SMB1. I dunno why, it just doesn't "feel" right.
no it's just that everyone and their momma wants a copy of either when they find an snes in the gutter. causing the price to stay at ~$22-30.GrandMasterJimmy wrote:The controlls are a bit better on the SNES version i think. And Mario all-stars is rare? I had like 6 copies before. Or is it just All stars+mario world is rare.

^^ My Available List ^^
My B/S/T list
I also rent and sell PS2, Wii and XBOX softmod-kits and I collect DVD movies let me know what you have.
I'd prefer the All-Stars+World package, but I have just the All-Stars version I got in a bundle on craigslist. I currently own three copies of both Mario World and Zelda LttP, and have been meaning to sell the extras for some time now.
I prefer Mario 3 on the SNES. Graphics and sound are superior, and the gameplay remains the same. And I dislike the GBA version for the reasons previously stated. The first time I heard Mario say, "Just what I needed!", I think I threw up a little bit in my mouth.
I miss the days when Nintendo knew how to treat its fans. They could have easily produced a cartridge for the GBA just like All-Stars. Instead Nintendo chose to make a cheap buck by selling them individually. I may have been raised as a Nintendo fanboy, but that's just a dick-head move.
