Strange... I thought you had that arcade stick for some reason.
I looked at prices of an AES aaand... yeah... not looking to spend that much money for an arcade experience right now. This collection and a wii stick is more budget-friendly...

sigh. I feel like I've said this a million times. I just think of the Wii as my wife's console. It's not hooked up where I play games. And I'm sure I'm missing out on plenty of good games, but I have so many other good games to keep me busy in the meantime.swiftzx wrote:Tsk,tsk. But... The platformers!
I'm sure you'll start digging deeper into the library at some point. No reason to try to play everything at once.
As someone who isn't a huge fan of wrpgs or fps, I've enjoyed the Wii more than anything else this gen, shmups aside. Still dont own a ps3 though.
... Wait whats this thread about again?

Classic Arcade Compilations? I'm in! Because I read them and know about them and own whichever ones come out on PCdunpeal2064 wrote:But... The platformers!

Let's break down the SNK compilation --
Art of Fighting -- started a great series, although I think the 2nd one is the best in the series
Baseball Stars 2 -- one of the better sports titles released on the Neo by far.
Burning Fight -- if you can get past some of the "japanese" elements of the game, including the Engrish and bad voices, it's a pretty enjoyable beat em up
Fatal Fury -- I remember playing this at 7-11 when it came out in 1992. I loved it a lot more than SF II, but Michael Max always gave my ass the beatdown
King of the Monsters -- Oh yes! Played the SNES port a LOT -- real neat idea and a lot of fun!
Last Resort -- for some reason, I just could not get into this shmup. Either it was too dark, or too slow, or too difficult, one of those reasons.
Magician Lord -- One of ADK's earlier releases, great action game with neat supporting characters you can use.
Metal Slug -- The one that started it all!
Neo Turf Masters -- Dare I say it's the greatest golf game EVAR? ON THE GWEEEEEN!
Samurai Shodown -- another fine start to a legendary series!
Sengoku -- I thought this game looked AMAZING for a Neo launch game. Love the Japanese voices and art used too.
Shock Troopers -- The biggest and best love letter ever sent to Ikari Warriors. BLOW SOME STUFF UP
Super Sidekicks 3: The Next Glory -- Neo Geo Cup 98 was supposedly based off this game (or SS4) but it's real good too!
The King of Fighters '94 -- Greatness has to start somewhere, and even though I like '98 the best, couldn't have done it without 94!
Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy -- Rather fun and surprised me with some neat cartoon-quality elements to it
World Heroes -- again, much more a fan of WH2/Jet but again, we have to start somewhere.
You want good collections? Taito Legends & Taito Legends 2: The Shmups (mostly)
