I picked it up when it was on sale for Cyber Monday...but I've only put one play session into it. While I'm not especially a fan of all of the aesthetics, the execution is top notch. Definitely one to pick up if you're a fan of the genre.

But, yeah, too many other games last month/this month for it to get real attention.

I might get this since I'm an Ancel fan and I've played Raman 2 on the Dreamcast. Contrary to what a lot of people are saying, I DON'T think there's a lot of good stuff out right now. Batman was my big holiday game and everything from Skyrim to Battlefield to Assassin's Creed Revelations just doesn't appeal to me(I'd actually be more interested in the Assassin's Creed games if they hadn't turned it into a franchise)and Skyward Sword was pretty meh. I wish Zelda would just die already. The series has NOTHING to offer the industry anymore, like most japanese games now and days. Batman is the only game to come out this holiday that got my interested and thoroughly delivered the goods

What's really pissing me off though is no one, as per usual, is saying which is the better version of Rayman Origins to get. That's what I hate about multi-plat titles. Reveiwers are too lazy to cover that stuff so you have to wait forever for Digital Foundry and Lens of Truth to put up comparison articles, assuming they even do a comparison for this game

Well, aside from the subjective nature of which the "good" games are...there's been a wave of "smaller" titles too - KoF XIII, Ultimate MVC3, Metal Gear HD collection, Halo Anniversary, Otomedius Excellent, and so on.
Not to mention that in addition to Star Wars: The Old Republic launching soon, they've been doing massive beta weekends since November.

This game seems to come down a lot more to simple capabilities. The PS3/360 versions can do 1080p. Given that, the Nintendo platform versions are easily dismissed (unless, of course, your only system is a Wii or 3DS).
Outside of that, I really doubt the game is going to stress a modern console, which is probably why there aren't in-depth comparisons.

Forget about Beyond Good & Evil 2.
Crap. Rayman Origins deserves to sell well, yet it can't match those lamo Rabbids games.

I feel kinda guilty for putting off my purchase of Origins. I'll have to hurry up and buy it before retailers stop carrying it.

Saw a note that this game has 50,000 in sales across all platforms. It's a shame - can't imagine they'd budget another. A good one to snag once the price really drops.

Edit> yeah that above link
