Anyone switching to a credit union with what's going on?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

The banks were not the only ones responsible for the mortgage crisis, government policy (put in place by the likes of Chris Dodd and Barney Frank) were as well. You also assume that the government had to spend the money to clean-up anything, the banks (and corporations that followed) under the "too big to fail" banner should have been allowed to fail.

The correct phrase is "I couldn't care less."

Grammar aside, you reek of ignorance. Your petty complaints about the protesters are a fucking drop in the bucket, compared to major fucking bullshit that the banks pulled. Who gives a fuck about a bunch of loud and dirty people in tents blocking city buildings, when we have a government that is fully corrupt and exists only to serve the top 1%. Do some research about this whole occupy Wall Street movement, and get your fucking priorities straight, son.

This I agree with, except it isn't the top 1% they serve, it's themselves, politicians.

I'd be happy seeing Dodd and Frank go to jail right along with Prince and Blankfein.

And suffer another great depression? No thanks. The consequences of not spending that money would have been far worse than where we are today. It had to be spent, but it should have been spent with strict conditions. Instead it was just another payday for the finance sector. I absolutely blame the government for that.

Politicians serve themselves by serving the 1%.

I was under the impression they were bitching about wanting distribution of wealth, and lack of jobs.

Also, a bunch of recent grads with 100k student loan debt from their NYU music degrees surprisingly enough are not getting jobs. So they are protesting about having to pay school loans and lack of jobs for them...

This is the first I have heard about this movement starting in order to achieve arrests of bank executives. That was just used in response to the protest arrests. Mjmjr said it best with this just being a bunch of youth wanting their movement and to be apart of something. These protestors also provoke a lot of the reactions they get and are far from noble innocents they are portrayed to be.

The growing trend of always trying to lay blame at others and the governmets feet for any misfortune or hardship. Too much of a sense of entitlement with many people who refuse to do a bit of introspection to better their own lot in life. Many of these protestors don't really know what they want or what they are after except for wanting to bring down the whole system. And just think of the great situation we would be in then

It is mostly a liberal or left movement as it is mostly an anti capitalist movement.
That and most of the conservative or middle are too busy working to protest (joke)

As it happens, issues are complex and multifaceted. The justice system is fucked up, our wealth distribution is fucked up, and our employment situation is fucked up. All of these are fucked up for the same reason: Disproportional influence by the rich and powerful. You can't fix any of these without fixing the root cause.

The rest of your post is a cartoonish conservative wet dream. Why don't you go to your local Occupy branch and see what kind of people are actually down there and what they want?

Well my participation in this discussion has ended. You and inazuma need to get off your ridiculous self righteous high horses. This is how arguing typically goes with the irrational and fanatical super left (or right for that matter).

I enjoy discussing with JT. I may not agree with him on points nor have similar viewpoints, but he is able to respectfully and thoughtfully lay out his points with intelligent dialogue.

I knew getting involved was a waste of time, but I was sucked into the trap.

No, you basically share your bias and opinion while talking down to others and trying to shame or guilt them to see as you do.
