The day you call protests mere foolishness and deliberate provocation is the day you spit on America.

Are you comparing the Occupy protestors with the civil rights movement?o.pwuaioc wrote:The day you call protests mere foolishness and deliberate provocation is the day you spit on America.
Of course, taken out of context and twisted... what I expected really.o.pwuaioc wrote:

Except the guys who broke into a building and refused to leave.Hatta wrote:Any police officer who wants really wants to demonstrate their bravery should refuse orders to break up peaceable assemblys. Any such orders are illegal anyway.
I don't really care whether you think the protesters are misguided or not, they are engaging in constitutionally protected free speech. Nothing they have done warrants this kind of violence, there's no way to describe it other than oppression.
You were the one who misread him first.Sigh, if you're going to deliberately misread what I said, should I even bother responding to you?
Does that justify nationwide campaign of violent suppression?MrPopo wrote:Except the guys who broke into a building and refused to leave.
Nope. I would just be wasting my time talking to you via PMs. You have zero consideration for others and absolutely no desire to improve things. I wish I could talk some sense into you, but I honestly don't believe I can do it. My only hope is that one day you get seriously fucked up by some corrupt bullshit and decide on your own that it sucks and you want to do something about it. Until then, you will remain part of the problem.MrPopo wrote:Then send it over a PM. I won't ban you for it.
Exactly. The fact that many police departments are grossly overreacting to OWS speaks volumes about the state of free speech more than anything else. Let me just ask this, has anything the protestors have done warrant the police firing tear gas grenades at them or getting pepper spray down their throats (which actually happened at UC Davis)? I think not.Hatta wrote:I don't really care whether you think the protesters are misguided or not, they are engaging in constitutionally protected free speech.
