Holy crap, you just made like 80 of us feel really old when we really shouldn't. When I was 7 it was the 80's and the 16-bit era wasn't starting until the following year when I'd get my Sega Genesis on my 8th bday.
It's cool knowing that there are guys out there who weren't even around when retro systems were big, and yet they still love and play them!
I thought your name meant you were born in '77 like me...oh well, it doesn't matter...gamers are gamers no matter what.
People tend to assume that in irc since I don't act like your total dumbass 16 year old most of the time. I grew up on the Atari XE so I think I beat most of you guys as far as retro gaming origins anyway. I got my Genesis when I was 6 so it's not that bad. I've always been atleast 1 generation behind everyone in gaming, I only buy consoles I can get for less than 50 euros generally. Being poor makes for a great way to become a retro gamer.
That's interesting, because when I first got the internet when I was 15 in '96, I chose "cragman" for my username (last name is Craig, and crag just sounds tough and cool, or at least to a 15-year-old, it did), but I needed a # as well, so I chose 77... as Goldmember put it, "wow, isn't dat veerd?"
Black Flag= it's one of my favorite bands and I have their sybol tattooed on my arm.
NC= I was born and raised in North Carolina. Southern pride thing.
I made mine when i was like 15, (12 yrs ago) one of my favorite bands at the time was vision of disorder, i just flipped it around and used it. it is rarely taken so it is my go to screename
