thinkin about takin an old nvidia 650i mobo and messing with it...great board...brand new...never used. lol

I was gonna use it...but one of the heatsinks for the motherboard chip is hanging off due to a broken pin on delivery. So...if none of you want it im about to destroy a REALLY nice motherboard lol
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

Lots of good ideas here for you.. I would also recommend using 30 gauge wire.. and 24 gauge for any power sources that are needed. Back in the day I used to do PSX and Saturn Mods with a $15 radio shack soldering iron.. it will work you just have to take your time and don't heat the soldering points to long.

But if you do get serious about doing more systems, get a good Weller iron and a good multi-meter and magnifying glass.

I suggest getting a cheap soldering iron from radio shack.

The way I solder, is put a tiny bit of solder were I plan on soldering(tinning), then do the same the the wire. The just touch the solder you put on the motherboard, to the solder on the wire, and touch with the iron. The two points will melt into each-other. Repeat it on each wire. Make sure not to touch anything together with the solder, or you'll kill the system.
