I haven't played much Morrowind, but my brief encounters with the bandit cave near the start had me hitting at least half of the time, if not more with my starting dagger.

I don't think any argument about unrealistic gameplay should involve fighting a rat.

At least half is not a ringing endorsement.

It's actually less difficult than you might think. In my first weekend I got over half the achievements and still hadn't gone very far into the main quest or several of the guilds. The hardest ones will be collection 1,000,000 gold at once and getting 50 pickpockets. The bounty one will be more annoying than hard.

50% isn't 100%.

@MrPopo: Heh I'm not even looking at the achievements yet, 20 hours in. I'll worry about them if I get bored later or something.

In the 2 weeks I've had the game, I've unlocked half the achievements- that's just through normal play too.

The achievements are all pretty easy to get. The majority are for doing the main quests and the guild quests. Then you have the ones for leveling, and finally the slightly more interesting ones. Like the Daedric quest achievements, the steal/pick pocket 50, get bounties everywhere, and get a ton of gold.
