I haven't played much Morrowind, but my brief encounters with the bandit cave near the start had me hitting at least half of the time, if not more with my starting dagger.Xeogred wrote:I really hate that kind of system that Morrowind used. In real time RPG's I still think player skill should overrule stats / random calculations. It's just really annoying to sit there looking at a rat swinging a sword 30 times only to hit it once. lol
I don't think any argument about unrealistic gameplay should involve fighting a rat.o.pwuaioc wrote:The damage level should reflect the skill, but who is so incompetent that you can't swing and hit a rat gnawing off your leg? Shit, could have kicked the bastard off.

At least half is not a ringing endorsement.Zing wrote:I haven't played much Morrowind, but my brief encounters with the bandit cave near the start had me hitting at least half of the time, if not more with my starting dagger.Xeogred wrote:I really hate that kind of system that Morrowind used. It's actually less difficult than you might think. In my first weekend I got over half the achievements and still hadn't gone very far into the main quest or several of the guilds. The hardest ones will be collection 1,000,000 gold at once and getting 50 pickpockets. The bounty one will be more annoying than hard.Xeogred wrote:Is that a bet?darthmunky wrote:I'm going to get every achievement by Christmas.

@MrPopo: Heh I'm not even looking at the achievements yet, 20 hours in. I'll worry about them if I get bored later or something.
Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I've only got 5 achievements after about 11 hours...

By the way I've definitely been experiencing this lately in Whiterun:

In the 2 weeks I've had the game, I've unlocked half the achievements- that's just through normal play too.

Re: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The achievements are all pretty easy to get. The majority are for doing the main quests and the guild quests. Then you have the ones for leveling, and finally the slightly more interesting ones. Like the Daedric quest achievements, the steal/pick pocket 50, get bounties everywhere, and get a ton of gold.
