Its the same for me. 9 times out of 10, I think that I can make it through the bullet storm. I bomb a lot in Psikyo games too, mostly because their games will tell you that you should have bombed if you die with them in stock.
I'm with JT though, I really like when your entire arsenal is worked into the game. Ibara Arrange is quickly becoming one of my favorite games. 6 weapons to choose from (thunderforce style), 5 option formations (garegga style), and the entire purpose of the game is to bomb.
This is also why I adore Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets so much.
