I definitely had a shop check it out right after that happened. Oil and other fluids are totally fine, but yeah they just mentioned they'd need like a tractor or machinery to fix my frame and it just wasn't happening.Hobie-wan wrote:Now you mention the car has been running rough and you can over something that was bad enough to bend the frame, was the engine actually checked out? Was the oil pan dented so that maybe the sump can't suck up oil properly to send back to the top of the engine? Did you check that the oil isn't leaking out and there is still actually oil in the car? It could be any other number of things that got screwed up when you hit the block. You need to go to a shop and pay for a diagnostic look to see exactly what the problem is in case it is something not too bad that can be done. Though really it sounds like the car is done for if the frame is out of whack and whatnot since it is a 15 year old car. Hopefully the Pharmacy job works out and you can find another vehicle as a stopgap after a few paychecks.
But yeah I've probably dropped thousands on this thing over the years, on top of my grandma fixing it up last year for a birthday/Christmas gift. I will be forced to fix it up a little more for now so it can actually drive, but yeah if this Pharmacy job really works out I'm definitely going to look into getting a new vehicle. I wonder how much I could even get for the one I have now, I would figure not much at all.
