Yeah our family wiener dog is like ~13-14 or something right now. She's getting gray, slow, diluted eyes, etc. It's so weird to think she's been around most of my growing up. Definitely gonna be a little sad when she passes.
Hobie-wan wrote:Now you mention the car has been running rough and you can over something that was bad enough to bend the frame, was the engine actually checked out? Was the oil pan dented so that maybe the sump can't suck up oil properly to send back to the top of the engine? Did you check that the oil isn't leaking out and there is still actually oil in the car? It could be any other number of things that got screwed up when you hit the block. You need to go to a shop and pay for a diagnostic look to see exactly what the problem is in case it is something not too bad that can be done. Though really it sounds like the car is done for if the frame is out of whack and whatnot since it is a 15 year old car. Hopefully the Pharmacy job works out and you can find another vehicle as a stopgap after a few paychecks.
I definitely had a shop check it out right after that happened. Oil and other fluids are totally fine, but yeah they just mentioned they'd need like a tractor or machinery to fix my frame and it just wasn't happening.

But yeah I've probably dropped thousands on this thing over the years, on top of my grandma fixing it up last year for a birthday/Christmas gift. I will be forced to fix it up a little more for now so it can actually drive, but yeah if this Pharmacy job really works out I'm definitely going to look into getting a new vehicle. I wonder how much I could even get for the one I have now, I would figure not much at all.

Thanks guys for the kind words. She'll be missed but not forgotten.

Smile: Having a chili cook off today in my backyard with friends. I'm either going to make Tortilla Dumpling Chili or Texas Chili for a Crowd. First thing's first, I need to get started on my chili powder soon.

We've got great weather, and it will be nice to get everyone outside, and I'll also set up some games like croquet and cornhole. But I'm really looking forward to trying the other chilis, and seeing my firends put their money where there mouth is...or is it putting their money where there mouth is? Either way, should be a relaxing and fun day.

Ticked: I know the cook off is going to include a ton of clean up.

It's a shame, it's sad, and it just sucks. She had a great life, but I hate to see my Mom and Pops in such a state. We're all bummed.

Smile: I'm still alive.
That sucks, man. My dog, died a few years back. He had a tumor on his pancreas, among other lesser problems. He was ::this close:: to being put down, when he started to respond positively to the massive drugs (mostly steroids I think) he was getting. He ended up living for the better part of a year after that. But one night after letting him out to do his business, he collapsed on the floor. The next day we had to put him down. Honestly, just thinking about it gets me upset. So I'm real sorry to hear about Libby, man.

Yeah it seems like a lot of people feel that Marquez was robbed. I haven't watched the fight yet so I can't comment on it. The judges probably gave the close rounds to Pacquaio cause they knew if Pac Man lost then the eventual super fight with Floyd Mayweather would lose some of its appeal.

Pacquaio's trainer Freddie Roach said they should do Pacquaio/Marquez IV before the Floyd Mayweather fight which am not in favor of at this moment. Everybody wants to see Pacquaio/Mayweather so it is fucking time to make this fight happen now dammit!!!!!

Frown: Saw a craigslist ad for a Vectrex just put up this morning: system, box, and 5 games for fifty bucks. Sent an email as soon as I could, someone else beat me to it. :(

"Frown", I like the sound of that, I won't say ticked here... but yeah...

Frown: Well my interview with CVS fell through today, on their part. Instead of talking to a local recruiter, the lady I've been in contact with for awhile gave me a call and said the position was filled yesterday. But I think I really left a good impression on her and she's really rooting for me, so she really insisted that she'll keep everything on record, our interview, and give me a call as soon as another position opens up. Luckily in the three or four weeks we've been in contact she's told me about a few positions, so maybe something will open up soon.

Either way back to the drawing board, but now that I have this Pharmacy Tech license I can tackle other places around here. I just wonder if the pay will match CVS, which was looking really good. Well hopefully something works out here soon.

Scary: My closest grandmother had a mini stroke or something yesterday morning. Thankfully it doesn't sound too serious when my mom went up to the hospital to see her and gave me the update. We all think it's maybe just severe stress, even if we saw her Sunday night and she was really happy and fine. Thing is she was planning to go to China for a month and was going to have to like secretly carry a few thousand dollars to give it to some orphanage she was going there for, along with helping them out for a month. She was obviously freaked out about how her house, dog, and bills will be taken care of while she's gone, so yeah. That and traveling across the world at 71, we're definitely thinking she was just really stressed or something.

The scary thing is that hopefully this isn't serious and that hopefully it doesn't trigger anything manic. When my grandpa passed away a few years ago, it was then that after 20 some years of growing up and loving my grandma, I saw someone else, and her bi-polar disorder kicked in full force, which I had never seen before. Frankly it was one of the worst experiences in my life seeing her in that state and one night when my family visited her I think I almost stood up for my entire family (I think my dad was just completely flabbergasted at what was going on) and was about to put my grandma in her place... luckily I never did that, because later my mom talked about how it probably would've been extremely dangerous if she tried to chase us down the road if we left or something.

SO, she's really healthy now and back to normal thank god, and for her age she is in great shape. I definitely hope this isn't serious nor does it trigger anything like that. That is something I never want to witness again. It was surreal.

Sums up my week so far.
