Socom is a third person shooter and was really great back in its prime. Unfortunately, hackers and cheaters ruined both Socom 1 and Socom 2. Then, Zipper Interactive decided to ruin the franchise themselves with the sequels that followed. 
Anyways, I would definitely be down for some kind of PS2 online meetup. It would be really great to dust off the network functionality of the PS2 since I have some really fond memories.

Too bad I sold Robotech: Invasion. That seems like it would be fun online. Maybe I'll hit the PS2 games in sleeves section at Gamestop soon.
