If you haven't been following the net neutrality debate, it basically concerns whether we all have unsrestricted access to the internet where all sites are treated equally in their access to bandwidth. If net neutrality had been voted down, ISPs would have control to block programs and content, impose payment structures on customers for varying levels of speed and bandwidth allottment, give higher priority internet access to sites that generate them more revenue and squeeze out sites that don't. Basically, the big wild and wooly internet where you have access to just about anything would be lost to the control of ISPs.
So I am very excited that net neutrality won this round! (WOOT!)
