I never thought I'd say I was genuinely excited to see how a new Sonic game was going to turn out ever again... but Sega has finally managed to do just that.

It looks great and I'm glad to see Sega recognizing classic Sonic again.

Here's my question:

PC or console?
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

The reviews online seem to indicate Sonic Generations is just "ok." Not great, or even as good as Colors. About Unleashed level. So I'm obliged to post The Sonic Cycle.

I can't believe I got excited for a Sonic game, AGAIN. The '90s Sega-playing kid inside me needs to learn what year it is already.

Now that is true Sonic Cycle behavior. Any excuse to complain.

Lets face it, for most "fans", unless a new Sonic game precedes the second coming, it'll never be good enough.

You know what Sega should do? Take the Sonic 3 & Knuckles engine, and hack in a completely new set of levels (aka release a new Genny rom+emulator). That way all the phyics will be correct. And it gets rid of his annoying new 'tude. It'll be terrible, but at that point people will realize that no one at Sega knows how to make a fun Sonic level and you'll stop getting your hopes up and then getting them dashed.

Okay then, have YOU played the game? If so, then at least give the demo a shot. I'm not going to pay $60 for it, but will most likely purchase it when it is around $40.
