Parents are lame these days. Let the kids trick or treat.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Trick or treat. Those are your options.

I've got a 24 pack of toilet paper rolls and half dozen super soakers. Who wants to go to Inazuma's house with me?
I've got a better trick. We sneak into his house and update the firmware on his PS3.

I would die from a heart attack the moment I realized it. You win. >_>

I am pretty sure my kid couldn't walk to a house giving away candy if he wanted to.

We went to the nearest town's Halloween parade last night. The kiddo was dressed up as Syracuse's Otto the Orange and made a killing in candy. It was awesome.

It does seem a bit different now.

I remember we always got the quick talk before leaving. "Don't eat your candy until we check it", which we all know was just an excuse for your parents to snag some of your candy before you tore into it yourself.

But you know, we used to get a few of us together and just wander the neighborhoods for hours. There weren't any groups with 20 kids and 20 parents, or "safe" (boring) trick or treating at some department store.

And when we went trick or treating, we used a big pillowcase to haul the stash around, not some sissy little bucket that the parents buy to limit the candy you can get!

Maybe I'm just doing that thing where you remember your own youth as being better than it was, but I feel like people were at least a little less paranoid.

I love Halloween. I loved trick or treating as a kid, and now, I just wait till the day after and grab the leftover candy from the stores on clearance.

Pretty much that. I'm gonna hate to see Halloween when I'm an adult though. :?
