Anyone switching to a credit union with what's going on?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

All you need to do is convince everyone to stop voting for incumbants until you get some representatives who you feel are actually representing you. I guarantee things would change if most of congress started only serving for single terms because they kept getting voted out.
Bingo. Lobbying IS the problem. You don't solve a problem by supporting the problem. Grass roots campaigns to remove incumbents are more likely to cause change.

Anyone who wants to help fix this fucked up situation, please check out this website and consider helping out. I just donated $100 myself.
Do you really know what your donation is going toward, making a difference or just paying someone else's rent? If enough Occupy supporter's are charitable, hell, for $20 I will film myself pooping on my local congressperson's doorstep. Your donation will fill me with mexican food and beer, and I will literally show you where your money is going. Capitalism in action.... beautiful.

Unless they're all Tea Partiers, in which case the American people were sold on lies.

I don't like the Tea Party by any means but I am hoping that their example can inspire more splinter groups within the Republican and Democratic parties to put up their own shingles. Hopefully some groups that aren't so insanely extremely conservative or liberal but still have the ability to appeal to voters.

Tomorrow is Guy Fawkes day, which is the day set for the switch-to-a-credit-union protest, for anyone that remembers where this thread started.

If you're going to take part, remember that most banks aren't open long on Saturdays. Usually from about 10:00am-1:pm.

The proposed boycott worked!
Bank of America announced a few days ago that they will not charge the ATM fees. I hope many people follow thru and drop BOA anyways, teach them a lesson. Inside studies shows the banks are banking on people not switching due to all the auto bill pay trapped in their accounts, an inconvenience to start over. Watch for higher Checking Account Fees and no more free replacement of a lost ATM card.

Yes, it was cool to see that change actually happen, though I think the protest goes deeper for a lot of people than just protesting the proposed ATM fee. There are currently 80,000 pledging to switch on the Bank Transfer Protest page, and in the last month some 600,000+ people switched to credit unions from banks.

I went to my bank today and confirmed that they are a community bank and not owned by any of these large evil corporations. No bank switch boycott for Inazuma. I'm sad. I wanted to fuck the man on Guy Fucks Day like the rest of you.
