Have two of these. The analog triggers press straight in like a PSX controller. The extra buttons on the face are not the triggers but can be programmed for combo moves. It even has a programmable hold time feature.

decided to give one of these a shot. Found one still boxed for $10 shipped. The truth is I just don't have $50 to spend on a controller right now, so until I do (or until I can get an Ascii pad in a trade), I just have to slum it.

Whilst the ASCII fighter pad is a great controller, $50 is still a bit pricey. Since I got my model 1 Saturn almost 2 months ago, I am falling in love with that controller again, and would rather just buy the Total Control adapter for the Saturn controllers if you had a spare laying around.
The adapters cost no more than $5-$10.
I just think those other cheap 3rd party controllers are horrible, but that is just my opinion.

Saturn pads are nice, but I'd rather have a really cool DC pad to go with my DC. I'm just a little OCD about collecting like that. So at some point I'll get an Ascii pad.
I still might get a Total Control for the PSX controllers that I already own. But I"m in no rush right now. Funds are limited for a while. (Oh and most PSX/DC adapters are like $25)

Ok haha, looks like I screwed up again. Don't want you guys to question my ability to remember Dreamcast information lol.
I see they have 4 at Playasia for about $25 shipped.

I don't know why I was thinking they were so cheap?

Good call and a great price! Yes you can find 1st party DC controllers for that price, but this gives a programmable auto fire controller as a spare alternate to own. I think you'll like the handgrips, be sure to save the PDF manual in case the site goes down. At a later date you can always get the adapter. But don't wait too long, PSX to Dreamcast adapters will keep getting more scarce.noiseredux wrote:decided to give one of these a shot. Found one still boxed for $10 shipped.
