Re: Whats the meaning behind your avatar and or user name?
One of my good friends has a lot of catchphrases and yells things like "Bone!", "Snap!", and "Deez!" when excited. I just morphed all three into a username because I found it amusing.
My avatar is Chii from Chobits, one of my favorite manga/anime series.

It's a tattoo I put on my middle finger on my left hand, a wedding ring of sorts that had components of everything I love. My user name is actually my name, I'm hiding in plain sight.

I still don't know what the hell it means, and I have even less of an idea of how to pronounce it.

Oh-pee-woo-ay-yee-ock? I usualy just kind of mumble something in my head like htat whenever I see your username.

saturnfan - I chose this for my love of the Sega Saturn
My avatar is a photograph of Pierre Gustave Toutant Beauregard, a Confederate general. I chose it because I study the Civil War and just happen to like the photo.

My avatar...it's a long and complicated story. I'd rather not go into it.
My screen name is a reference to a character in a book I've been working on off-and-on for about 4 years now.
Fun story: At the very first Racketboy meet-up, Wip3out and Hobie were surprised when I showed up ahead of most of the crowd. Hobie said he was surprised I showed up at all, given my screen name.

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
