Had shots of sake with friends and itamae's last night. Not a huge fan of plum sake, but absolutely love a good rice sake.
The sushi and sashimi were incredible. The main sushi chef and I have become good friends, although there is a barrier of language. But we do speak a lot with our hands, mostly about cooking techniques and methods. He prepared fresh, still moving and wriggling fresh, flounder, and also to my surprise tuna cheek and fresh striped bass. The bass was really interesting. I've never heard of it being served raw, and even the sashimi slices of it still moved on my plate. The bass, no surprise, had a very hearty taste but had a clean finish to it. Delicious, but you can't beat tuna cheek. That cut of fish literally melts in your mouth.

It's just after 1pm, and I just drank a near full warm Natty Ice that was opened last night and somehow forgot about. Great way to start the day.

There's been a sale on Shock Top lately, so I've been going through several 12 packs of those.
Also hungry from Luke's story. Damn some sushi sounds good right now.

Re: What Are You Drinking?
Halloween weekend which means I'm definitely going to buy some more quality beer than I usually do, (usually get PBR or Budweiser cause I'm a cheep bastard). I'm feeling like its going to be a Guinness night tonight!

Re: What Are You Drinking?
Had a Stone IPA the other day. I have not been drinking much beer these days, but Stone is always a solid choice.
