Have you tried Legacy of Darkness? :P
Still not Half-Life 2 but better than CV64 (fixed that AWFUL camera)

Yeah, I liked what I played of that, but I don't own it.

Okay, so I started up Penumbra Overture (forgot this one came in one of the older Indie Humble Bundles I think), and wow. Epic. Turn the lights off, I made sure I pretty much can't see anything without the flashlight/glowstick, and my ultimate headphones... this is nuts.

So instead of a ciberdemon kicking my ass on the lvl 17 on doom 64, i decided to complete castlevania legacy of darkness with Reinhardt and i liked the ending of hes story, i just wanna know why konami release CV64 with such awful camera a lot of people is missing a cool game for that. Now i will see if i unlock Carrie and play her story or just left her until next year.

Beat The Ninja Kids with fvgazi. Satanic cult, zombies, hunchbacks (as if all hunchbacks were evil...), and the devil himself - this qualifies as a horror beat-em-up, right? :P

so with about a week to go, I have made some progress towards my list but not enough. Since I will probably start playing Battlefield 3 later this week, I may not get much further, either:

Beat:
-Splatterhouse (PCE) - still king of horror games
-Dementium: The Ward (NDS) - a lot of fun, one of my fave DS titles
-Brutal Sports Football (JAG) - not football, and much better than I thought it would be.

Started:
-Splatterhouse (PS3) (2010) - played the first few levels and got stuck in a place where a poor camera was making advancing difficult. I may play more, but overall I am unimpressed with this one.
-Amnesia: The Dark Descent (PC) - played a few hours, but a quick check of the web suggests I probably have a good 6-7 hours more to go. It is interesting, but I haven't been as impressed as I thought I might.
-Rage (PC) - maybe I'll try to get further than a few hours in sometime next year when it is patched more fully. A disappointment.

Haven't touched:
-Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles (Wii) (never finished this last year )
-Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (PC)
-Luigi's Mansion (GCN)
-Cursed Mountain (Wii)

I might try to play some Luigi's Mansion (how long is it?) and I am debating if I want to try finishing RE: UC. I doubt I'll be motivated to revisit much more of Amnesia just yet though.

Oh, and I was thinking of playing Singularity but never got to it, either. Is it horror-themed at all? For some reason I thought it might be...how long is it?

So where are you?

I'm playing through Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Just got to the upside-down castle after defeating the green-ball thingie that was possessing Richter from Castlevania: Bloodlines. This upside-down thing is REALLY gonna take some getting used to.

My original list.
Opa Opa wrote:Definite:

Resident Evil (PS1)- Chris' scenario.

Dino Crisis (PS1)- What's scarier than zombies? Dinosaurs, of course!

Silent Hill 0rigins (PSP)- Time to knock it out!

Maybe:

Play Novel: Silent Hill (GBA)- I don't know if I'll have the necessary time/patience to play this but I'll try to squeeze it in.

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories (PSP)- If it arrives in time I'll play it.
What actually happened:

Beat

Splatterhouse (pce)- Together Retro
Silent Hill: SM (psp)- The Wii version on a portable platform.
I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream (Dos)- Wasn't on the original list but I really enjoyed this game.

Played

Dino Crisis- I don't even remember what's going on. I haven't played it in a while.
RE- About half-way through.

I think around 6-8 hours. It's a really short game.

It does have a strong horror sci-fi vibe, one of the levels basically shows a letter that says "In the cafeteria they started giving us yellow milk, it tastes weird and it's making me feel sick. Many of my classmates are missing as well".
