I let a friend borrow my black label copy a couple years after that trade and he ended up selling it to FuncoLand for like $5.... :(
What a shitty friend.

Just about any game with a good cover for the NES & possibly the SNES and GEN are the perfect deceivers.

I bought MegaMan 1 for its box art thinking it was going to be cheesy and found out it was one of the greatest games of all time x.x *joke*

about 7 or 8 years ago I let a friend borrow Vagrant Story from me. I pulled it out the other day because I was going to let it go to someone looking for it on here only to discover disc 2 is missing :(

Racketboy has repeatedly taught me never to let friends borrow games more valuable than Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt.

I once let a "friend" "borrow" a game back in high school. Never got it back.

IT WAS FUCKING EARTHBOUND.

There are a couple games whose box art made me NOT want to buy them...
The mobile light force (aka castle shikigami) games are bad, and the cover for super bust a move on the ps2 is the worst thing ever.

I'm assuming you mean that the COVERS are bad? FYI: Mobile Light Force is actually Gunbird. But Mobile Light Force 2 is Castle Shikigami. At any rate, both games are excellent.

Yes. Covers. Sorry. The games are good. Also, yes only MLF2 is Castle Shikigami. See, I even knew that and I still screwed up - damn you XS Games!
