Fucking sweet. That stuff is awesome. I wanna know if they're samples or your own backing track.Lodestar wrote:I've been making music for about a year and a half now, off and on (I haven't even completed 10 tracks yet). Here's my page with some of my *early* stuff (Top song is only a month old, though)

I plan to add more music, but that's all I have at the moment. Doubt it'll appeal to anyone here, but whatever.

I am planning on making a Instrumental (or Ambient) song, All I have to do is wait until the certain time of the summer, record the sounds from the outside at night, then later on I would record myself playing the acoustic guitar (I don't know how to play but I think me in inexperience on guitar would make it sound unique-ish).
I pretty much live in a house with musicians, my brother and my sister are in a Black Metal band called Baryonic (formily known as Northern Cross)

Also brother has a solo side-project called Thanos, Its mostly Melodic Death Metal.

These are just samples I have manipulated/cut and messed with in various ways, however, I do plan on taking a more 'authentic' approach as soon as I find the means to. I really need to get my hands on some nice VSTs to mess with. More importantly, I should probably take down some of the old tracks.

This was my band that I played bass in for about five years or so (went by the name Side Out for the first few years)...

We got to play a shit load of awesome shows including opening for big acts and doing some Warped Tour spots. The inevitability of personal lives set it, and I felt like I was pulling most of the weight for the band. There's was also money issues between the guitarists and the drummer. I decided to quit and they replaced me with another bass player, only lasting six more months as band. I'm only really friends with the drummer still. It's a shame, because I feel we had the potential to go places.
It's been a few years, but I'm considering trying to start another band. Maybe a sludge band or something. I just don't know if it would be worth it now. I've started my own life in the last couple years, about to get married and get a house and all. Maybe that's just what growing up is.
By the way, the pics are not of me. They took down all of the pics where I had played bass after I quit.

It's funny how each and every band has a dramatic story of some kind. Ours involved a drummer with an infidelity problem. The band became his excuse to get out the house (and away from his kid) so he could fuck other girls. Eventually it got to the point where he "had" to quit the band to save his "marriage".Flak Beard wrote:This was my band that I played bass in for about five years or so (went by the name Side Out for the first few years)...

One particular show comes to mind where he brought his wife AND one of his white trash mistresses together. After our set, his wife got angry with him and kicked him, resulting in a complete Jerry Springer-esque shouting/slapping match.
