Is it bad that I laughed, but read the top version anyway, then saw the bottom one?Xeogred wrote:A patch apparently hit today and Carmack speaks.

Re: dsheinem's MONTH OF HORROR 2011! What games are you playing?
I started playing Amnesia The Dark Descent and Brutal Sports Football, both of which have pleasantly surprised me.
Amnesia's voice acting and atmosphere are already excellent, and though I haven't yet been frightened for any reason, I can see the game building up to some nice scares.
Brutal Sports Football is not actually an American football game, it is more like soccer played with hands. I expected something in the vein of Mutant League Football since both feature teams of monsters, demons, etc. - but the similarities stop there.
The game is awesome: I have won 4 out of 4 matches so far, one of which I was losing by a large margin in points but came back to win by decapitating the entire opposing team. There's lots of blood and carnage, and it plays like an arcade title instead of a sim. If you have a Jag, it is worth checking out. I intend to play through a season, as each game is only 10 minutes long or so.

along with Splatterhouse (TG16) and Splatterhouse 2 (Gen), I'm finally getting around to playing Shadows of the Damned (360), and the recent HD releases of Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica

Awesome. That's one I've wanted to try too. Isn't it just HOTD1 or HOTD2 with kb "controls"?Stark wrote:Enjoy.noiseredux wrote:

Also, the fact that you are using a keyboard is further evidence that you want to get into PC gaming.

it's HOTD2 with keyboard controls. And it's amazing. And proof that I don't need a PC when games like this exist on consoles.
