Sports-Tony Hawk Pro skater 1 or 2,Its on everything and the gba ones are a fresh take on the same formula.

Stussy :p
I 100% co-sign any Tony Hawk Pro Skater game.
Nice

I like on THPS2 the skatepark editior,I usually create a character with realistic stats (Tone down the speed and ollie height)and just make runs for the replay feature.its kind like watching a skate video!
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

alienjesus wrote:*Yawn* It's an ok suggestion, but it seems a bit....generic. Like choosing mario as a platformer. Of course, I'm probably saying that because I've played it far too much already
Yeah. haha. It is kind of a generic suggestion. :)

I just thought it'd be fun game month for those with the whole MAME arcade thing going on. I think there are a few people with that on here.

plus the 2nd game introduced the manual which made stringing ridiculous combos together possible.

I am liking this Tony Hawk idea. It fits the multiplatform theme really well.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

yeah I really think that's a sports title a lot of us can get behind. I'm fine with playing any of them really but THPS2 is certainly my personal favorite, and tends to be sort of considered the pinnacle of the series so I think we should do that one.

2 is available on PlayStation, PC, Game Boy Color, Dreamcast, MAC, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo 64, Xbox, iPhone.

^though the GBC version is a total piece of shit that doesn't resemble THPS by any means, the GBA version is actually a really cool port built on the same isometric engine as the GBA port of Jet Grind Radio.

THPS2 is also CHEAP. That fits the theme too. I've always wanted an excuse to try out the Dreamcast version and the GBA port - I remember seeing footage of it on one of the GBA launch commercials and being blown away that it was a portable game.

I'd happily send my vote to Pro Skater 2. Plus that gives me an excuse to buy it for Xbox 8)

Also, I love fighting for scores, and the whole game is basically score attack (and find the misc. item).

Wasn't the Xbox version the final release for THPS2? I think I remember something about new music and exclusive levels.

More than that. It's the definitive version it seems.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2X was released on November 14, 2001 (only in the U.S. and Canada) as a launch title for Microsoft's Xbox. The game contained remade versions of all the levels from the first two games in the Tony Hawk series, five new levels, a 4-player split screen and LAN multi-player feature and the ability to create females in Create-a-skater mode. Other new features include a redesigned main page and grind balance meter.
From what I can find on top of that:

No fog
The sun
Motion blur
Wind effects on clothing
Slightly larger levels and redesigned elements
Custom music from your hard drive
Blades of grass
