Jumping in on the end of this thread, so I wouldn't know if I'm being redundant but I'm gonna suggest Command & Conquer.

I know I'm not an active participant in Together Retro, but I would like to get into it more. So here's my suggestions.

Jan: Adventure
I suggest Myst or any of its sequels. You can get Myst and Riven at GOG. I would be fine with Golden Axe Warrior too. I've been meaning to play that.

Feb: Fighter
I suggest JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Fighters are all about multiplayer, so I think it's best to suggest something that can be played on GGPO, Supercade, or something with a port on 360 or PS3. If there is a way to play TMNT Tournament Fighters online, I'll vote for that.

Mar: RPG
I remember reading about Koudelka on these forums and it sounded interesting. It's a horror rpg though, so maybe people wouldn't want two horror games.

Apr: Sports or Racing
Crash Team Racing is really fun.

May: FPS
I saw someone suggest Wolfenstein 3D earlier. That sounds good to me.

Jun: Strategy
Ogre Battle sounds good to me.

Jul: Runngun or beatemup
I don't know.

Aug: Party game
I saw Bomberman suggested. I like that too.

Sep: Platformer
I suggest Little Nemo: The Dreammaster for NES.

Oct: Horror-related
Silent Hill sounds good.

Nov: Puzzle
Lemmings sounds good.

Dec: Shmup
I've been meaning to play Ikaruga more, so I vote for that.

Any of these sound great.

I think we need more opinions. The only other WRPG I saw mentioned was The Bard's Tale, which I'd like but I'm not sure how many others would. I think an Black Isle RPG is likely to be popular, but more people could speak up on the topic. Is Fallout likely to be more popular than Baldur's Gate?

Now that I think about it, the Bard's Tale plays a lot like a JRPG, random encounters, lots of grinding. Maybe read this guy's comments on the difficulty and see what you think. It's actually a 7 part review, if you want to start from the beginning.

I would favor Ep 1 Racer, just to give my Voodoo 2 cards a spin.

To organize my list:

Jan- Adventure- Golden Axe Warrior (sounds pretty fun)

Feb- Fighter- Virtua Fighter

Mar- RPG- A Dragon Warrior or Morrowind

Apr- Sport/race- I don't care. I threw out some titles as ideas but I'll play anything. I'd prefer an arcade-y racer.

May- FPS- Doom

Jun- Strategy- I don't care. Somebody said Advanced Wars?

Jul- Run/Gun Beat em up- Don't care.

Aug- Party- Bomberman '94 (At first I just said "a bomberman"; I'm now being specific.)

Sep- Platformer- Another World/Out of This World

Oct- Horror-esque- Silent Hill

Nov- Puzzle- I really don't care. Dr. Robotnik's mbm sounds fine.

Dec- Shmup- Fantasy Zone

Pinball- Sonic Spinball

I already have a head start on it personally. I started playing it about 2 weeks ago. I didn't realize it was a Together Retro this year. I'm only to Act II so I'll just wait till next month to continue I guess.

I thought Shining Force was more of a strategy game than RPG?
