Clearly if you won't even give those films the time of day than you aren't really in a position to judge them. It would be like someone saying all superhero movies are dumb because they are unrealistic or all horror films are terrible because they rely on fright or shock. I would welcome a reasoned argument for why you thought Chasing Amy was a terrible film: that would be a respectable opinion. You provided no such defense for your position.

So people find it necessary to start attacking me and my tastes in movies in general? That's entirely reasonable? It's not like I was like telling anyone their tastes suck. I just said I that I don't like a movie.

I was never attacking you, I was attacking your argument about why Chasing Amy was a bad film (or, rather, your lack of an argument). If you want to make the claim, you should be able to support it. I expect that of anyone.
