What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

This whole thing is getting ridiculous now. The whole point to begin with was that I didn't think Mallrats was a bad movie, that I liked it. And it's turned into this whole other monster now.

Nah I think the 'monster' really happened when you outright called Chasing Amy 'terrible'.

Last movie I watched was uh...

oh wait I already posted about Mortal Kombat earlier in the thread.

I'll probably pick up Pulp Fiction on blu ray today though!

Oh I'm sorry for offending you with my opinion. Get over it.

What the fuck was that for?

I didn't even participate in the majority of that tirade. The mess started when you called Chasing Amy terrible, not because you agreed with like four other people in thinking Mallrats was good.

BurningDoom, I was peeved because you had the gall to call the movie terrible while just completely writing off the entire genre. Clearly if you won't even give those films the time of day than you aren't really in a position to judge them. It would be like someone saying all superhero movies are dumb because they are unrealistic or all horror films are terrible because they rely on fright or shock. I would welcome a reasoned argument for why you thought Chasing Amy was a terrible film: that would be a respectable opinion. You provided no such defense for your position.

So people find it necessary to start attacking me and my tastes in movies in general? That's entirely reasonable? It's not like I was like telling anyone their tastes suck. I just said I that I don't like a movie.

The fact that everyone wanted to gang up on me because I don't like a movie is fucking ridiculous. You're acting like I pissed all over and proclaimed to everyone that it's a pile of shit, which I didn't. However people like Luke here can shit all over my tastes and it's perfectly okay. Hell, he straight up ranted on my movies and tastes and nobody gets mad. Screw all your double standards.

I was never attacking you, I was attacking your argument about why Chasing Amy was a bad film (or, rather, your lack of an argument). If you want to make the claim, you should be able to support it. I expect that of anyone.
