Would you rather buy a $2.99 disc or download a $9.99 PSN release?

Oh I get it.

Is it considered flame bait if I say I won't send a letter after reading this thead?

I *think* it's that "oh captain my captain" thing. Although I heard they were Navy sailors on a boat during WWII in that movie, so maybe this was a parody?

This isn't emulation -- Sony has developed (and is still developing) a special SDK that PS2 games can be compiled against to run more or less natively on the PS3, with a wrapper like the one you see on PSOne Classics that enable those few extra features, like mucking with the memory card and how the screen is displayed.

Why isn't anyone talking about the games they chose? Fuck yeah! God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere and Ring of Red. That's a pretty snazzy selection of games right there, as opposed to Baby's First Game, Generic Sports Game X and pathetic Racer 2 that no-one ever played and would have no desire to play again, and yet the license was easy to obtain so up they go.

Anyhow, each of the games are $9.99, and that definitely tickles my fancy more than buying PS2 copies (which for some of those games, is much more than $9.99). Obviously this isn't for everyone, or people that already own PS2 copies, or people who are just chapped about Sony in general. At $10, I'm down for a couple for the convenience alone. Anyone else here actually interested in the games as opposed to just having another excuse to shit on Sony?

I think you meant to say "FUCK THIS. FUCK THAT! ALWAYS FUCKING AS OVER. SHIT EATING ASSHOLES. FUCKING BULLSHIT FUCKING FUCKS BLEEDING US FUCKING DRY AND SHIT. FUCK.

FUCK!!!"

Oh, and also. Yea, not bad. Count me in for a couple games at some point. If games show up that sell for lots of $$$ I will pay $10 before I decide to spend the $$$ on a physical copy.

Yeah, hopefully this doesn't go the way of XBLA titles with the increasing prices year by year. I remember when 400-800 MS points was the norm :x (~$10 I think).

Not to keep dogging on MS here, I use my 360 way more than my PS3, but it'd be great to see Sony handle digital stuff better than MS has.

I remember a thread about a year back showing off how amazing Grim Grimoire looked in 1080p, running on the PS3, and the pictures posted sure did look amazing and sharp. Out of the bunch, I think I'll only be buying that one, since all the others look better on sdtv's.
