(that was 90% of your rant on that one).

Actually it was closer to 85.7% of my rant (6 lines out of 7). :P

I'm actually curious. What don't you like about Vectorman? Not a perfect game by any means but still very very good IMO.

I didn't like the play style very much. It had that floaty, western feel. The character was just plain idiotic. What do I care about some dude made up of ballz? The graphics were also pretty bad despite there being more than 64 colors onscreen in many locations. They just looked extremely bland and washed out. It tried to be über stylish, but in my opinion it sacrificed gameplay for that. Also, the sound quality was horrible (typical GEMS). The second game had slightly better sound quality from what I recall, but it still wasn't anything I'd want to listen to outside of the game.

I'd agree the sound quality is terrible, but I didn't think the gameplay was too floaty, certainly not as precise as a Sonic game though. Also, I don't think you really care for the style. I think it was intended to be very neutral and muted, considering the storyline. The animation quality is superb, due to the fact that Vectorman is made out of balls.

Anyways, I'll leave it at that, we all have our opinions. I just found it odd because almost everybody I know that's played it has at least liked it.

I try my best to ignore the hype around older games for pretty much this reason. I played both Mario 64 and OOT when they were new though, so I probably have a very different perspective on them.

How can you not like the SONICS!?!?!?!

It brought me so many hours of joy. And then co-op with Tails added into the mix...
