The only games that I know you have to be connected to XBL are the indie games (which I really don't like since I switch an ethernet between my ps3 and 360) and games like battlefield 1943 which are multiplayer only.
I really don't think that our dl'd games will disappear. While it is a possiblity think about all the dlc that has been released. If our games disappear so does dlc can you imagine how many cod fanboys would be pist? It would be IP suicide to just take away everything away.
The games that require an online connection will basically disappear, since they will be completely unplayable. Games that can be played offline will still work, unless your hard drive dies and then you will lose everything. You won't be able to re-download any of it because the servers will be down for good.
Lastly, and arguably most importantly, all of this stuff will be gone for good. If the year is 2020 and you want to play some old Xbox 360 download game, there will be no legal way to do it. Retro gaming will become synonymous with piracy and hacking, because that will be the only possible way to do it. And if piracy is required to play retro games, Microsoft and Sony will sue you and/or have you arrested for it.
The future of video games is pretty much completely fucking horrible and absurd as a mother fucker, and we are partially to blame for it. We need to wake up and start giving a fuck about our rights, because there is almost nothing left at this point.
