I will definitely be playing Splatterhouse 3 for Genesis. I think it's the crowning jewel of the series. I might try emulating the arcade original if I can get MAME running.
I think I might play Nightmare Creatures for PS1. I haven't played that one in years; I wonder how well it holds up today.

Umm. I guess some Left 4 Dead, might run some Resident Evil or something. And lots of crappy horror movies. Hobo with a Shotgun anyone?
So, how are the Resident Evil games besides 4? Like, I was thinking maybe trying out 0 and 2. And how about the new splatterhouse game?

Just ran through all the old-school Resident Evils not too long ago, so it won't be those for me.
I think I'll instead play some Castlevania games. And if I can get a hold of a copy for my NES before Halloween, play some Ghosts N Goblins, too.
I've also been meaning to get back to Carrier, for the Dreamcast. A rip-off of the Resident Evil games, but a good rip-off. I guess it's a good time to do so.
Also a serious go at Doom 64 is in order.

I might get a Kinect with Rise Of Nightmares soon so I might add that one to the list or instead replacing it with some Castlevania games, Dead Island or Clock Tower 2.
Resident Evil - Great
Resident Evil 2 - Amazing
Resident Evil 3 - Great
Resident Evil: Code Veronica/Code Veronica X (If you are low on cash avoid the GC version) - Amazing
Resident Evil Survivor - Ugh
Resident Evil Dead Aim - Good
REmake - Amazing
Resident Evil 0 - Good
Resident Evil 5 - Good
As for Splatterhouse 2010, it's pretty awesome, plus... how many games allow you to murder a huge monster by fisting him and removing his intestines?
This are the ones I've played:The Last Horseman wrote:Umm. I guess some Left 4 Dead, might run some Resident Evil or something. And lots of crappy horror movies. Hobo with a Shotgun anyone?

Gex 64, the horror movie theme level. Sounds like a pretty awesome time to me.

Dude, get Doom 64 Absolution instead. It's a Doom 2 WAD that is an exact rip of the N64 game, except you're going to get a better resolution, framerates, controls, options, and all that jazz.BurningDoom wrote:Also a serious go at Doom 64 is in order.
I think Doom 64 is pretty underrated, or people just don't bring it up that often. I think it's really good although I wish more of the game was made up of the space levels rather than Hell. The atmosphere in those stages was really cool. Overall, it's a lot more Doom 3 than Doom 3 was... since it's like the old games but definitely has a different vibe, and new sprites/art design, everything.
It's balls to the wall tough too. Definitely tougher like Plutonia and the tougher WAD's out there. Hell Knight's become Imps later on and are everywhere, lol. It was really satisfying conquering that one.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get a copy of Chiller for the NES or if there is a good way to emulate a Zapper game?

I remember playing Chiller when I was younger but I dont think the version I played needed a light gun

You should go with 2 and the remake for the gamecube. RE 2 has a perfect balance in action and puzzles while the remake has a scary atmosphere. RE 0 was good but not like REmake. The Last Horseman wrote:Umm. I guess some Left 4 Dead, might run some Resident Evil or something. And lots of crappy horror movies. Hobo with a Shotgun anyone?

Got stuck on lvl 6 on doom 64 a few weeks ago... maybe i should try to beat it this month. It's a shame that EVERYTHING it's dark and hard to see!Xeogred wrote:Dude, get Doom 64 Absolution instead.
