There was another portable SFC/SNES released a few years ago, called the FC-16 Go. It's good but not perfect. You have to do a few mods if you want to play SFC games on it. The Supaboy looks like it will surpass it.

Damn, actually never heard of that either, but I probably would have bought one back when it came out. After looking at the FC-16 Go and all the info on the Supaboy, I think it's going to surpass the FC-16 Go too. I do like that clam-shell feature though. I also prefer not to mod anything if I don't have to, hell, I even got a little converter piece for my SNES so that I didn't have to break off the plastic tabs. I'm actually really excited for this thing, it'll probably get me to start looking into getting some more SFC games. I've been meaning to look for some of the good exclusives.Inazuma wrote:http://stoneagegamer.com/fc16goportablesnes.aspxCzernobog wrote:I never caught wind of this thing. 99% of my games are on the SFC so I had to mod it when I got mine. It was somewhat easy to break off the tabs but the cartridges were always loose, so they would move slightly and then the game would turn off. I eventually used velcro to help tighten the cartridge slot.Czernobog wrote: Damn, actually never heard of that either, but I probably would have bought one back when it came out. The Supaboy won't have that problem since it plays SFC games right out of the box, and it has a cartridge locking feature.
