I hate to disagree because your site is awesome (and I'm a polite Canadian), but there are a few important differences...racketboy wrote: And to answer your question, Ikaruga is identical between DC and GC.
No problem -- I guess it depends on how detailed you want to bedoctorfugue wrote:I hate to disagree because your site is awesome (and I'm a polite Canadian), but there are a few important differences...racketboy wrote: And to answer your question, Ikaruga is identical between DC and GC.
There is a practice mode in the GC version which allows you to play sections of each level.
The GC version looks somewhat less sharp than the DC version (through VGA), and for some reason this problem gets worse after the first level.
The sound is better on the DC.
The slowdown (especially during boss explosions) is much less on the GC.
Being a direct NAOMI port on the DC, it is an arcade-perfect experience (including slowdown).
Sorry for the off-topic rant...
Ahh...I am indeed obsessive about shooters...as any good shooter player should be!racketboy wrote: No problem -- I guess it depends on how detailed you want to be
If you want to be technical, no port is "identical"
I just don't view it as much of a difference as many other ports -- say Skies of Arcadia that recieved extra events and reduced random battles, etc.

Any game that you think has infinite replay value will be relevant. These 5 might not be unique to the DC (being in the arcade or having ports to other systems for some), but I think they are best-represented on the DC and I could easily play these games every day.
I noticed that when I preordered DUX today. It was about twenty euros plus shipping to the States, which translated into like $45. Ouch.3style wrote:I was following that one, did not buy it though. I have the normal version of Border Down.RackGaki wrote: Did anyone notice Border Down just sold for $152?!?
Probably Europeans. The dollar currency is very interesting atm. 152 usd is about 98 euro's.
