I participate on a site called TraditionSportsOnline and am the content manager there so I write up articles and such for the main page. We organize and participate in onlne franchises and dynasties as to have a sim style community and all that good stuff...

That being said, I think the people who just say it is the same game every year are way off base. That is only basically true for those who don't play the game. Every year they add AI improvements, new game modes, new features, animations, player models etc... It is still simulation football yes, but it is different. It is the same as saying every Zelda or Mario is the same.
Cool. Back in 2003, we had an online PS2 Madden league (mbcmaddenonline.com i think) that my friends designed and built from scratch. Owners inputted their game stats and the site tracked everything. It was awesome and years before online leagues were built into the games (we had a lot of rules which made the games fair and fun - despite rampant cheesing in random online games). I remember the lengthy wait list we had to join the league and I think at one time someone tried to buy it. Good times.

Anyone else pick up Madden for the PS3? If so, I'm brad21126 on PSN. Feel free to look me up.

I wanted to get around to checking this out (I'm years behind, I know). Besides the guady uniform color schemes for made up teams, how does it play? I like that you can switch to an 8 bit skin. As the retrogaming universe will eventually read (I swear I'm working on this), I like throwback horizontal football games. Takes me back to Joe Montana Sports Talk Football (and of course Tecmo Bowl).

I forgot to follow up on this. I picked it up a couple weeks ago and was suprised to have no problem finding someone to play online at noon on a Friday. The game came out a year ago! The game is crippled by not having a NFL license, although you can change the names of all the players (they are the original NFL players and ratings from TSB). Wasn't terrible though for $9.99.

In conforming to the bylaws of Racketboy.com I am obliged to defend my Undisputed Madden '12 title every 30 days. Should no one accept this open challenge, I will retain my title via countout. LETS DO THIS

Get me a copy of Madden 12 cheap and you're on. Just give me a month after receiving the game to practice.
