So what system are we playing Madden on this year?

I've always gone the 360 route but picked up a ps3 this summer and have been heavily leaning towards switching (esp after all the basketball activity here).

Same system I've always played it on: no system. There's no real reason to keep buying Madden over and over, just buy the '03 version for a quarter and play that.

I'll be paying on PS3, but I usually pick it up closer to the start of the season after reviews are out and after it goes on sale.

my experience with Madden is pretty limited. I've played several GB ports. Besides that, I own 2002 for PS2 because the Collector's Edition is pretty awesome -- it features modes that allow you to play Retro versions of Madden but with updated (2002) roster. There's 16 and 32-bit versions along with the actual PS2 game all on the same disc.

As far as sports games go, I don't buy annually. And actually football isn't much of a priority for me. But for big fans who want to play online, I'd guess you'd have to keep up with the current version.

I'd buy the PS3 version if other people want to join in. I can't buy the 360 version because it is usually region locked and won't like my Japanese 360.

I love the Phillies and Flyers but I HATE HATE HATE the fucking Eagles...I should explain...

When I was 10 my family moved away from southeastern PA, where I was born. My family wasn't big into sports, and though I had become a huge Phillies fan, I was not really into football at all.

We moved to a suburb of Dallas, TX the same year the Cowboys were 1-15. From 10-13 or 14 I lived there and got caught up in the climate of the city, which is die-hard Cowboys. There's not much else like that kind of fandom anywhere, and so an impressionable boy became a Cowboys fan for life when he watched the trio of Aikman/Smith/Irvin come into town and take a 1-15 team to two time Super Bowl champs and the whole city erupt with joy. Those were quite literally the happiest sports memories of my life prior to the Phillies World Series win a few years ago.

So I come by my Cowboys love/Eagles hate quite legitimately, despite the fact that I once again live in PA.
