I arrive at the shop before it opens it's doors to the public and always have a look to see if anything retro has been donated.
I always wait for the items to be priced and put out in the shop before I buy them.
During the course of the morning yesterday another volunteer informed me that the manager had instructed a worker to throw away an Atari 2600 junior with about 40 carts
At the earliest oppurtunity, my short lunch break, I waded into the rubbish pile at the rear of the wharehouse.
Having seen that our drivers had already cleared one load of rubbish earlier I wasn't holding out much hope of finding anything.
Jackpot....


The console still had it's plastic protective cover over the logo
Couldn't find the other carts, guess they went with the first load that was cleared
