Animal f*cking Crossing on the Gamecube!
Seriously, words cannot describe how much I hate this piece of sh*t game. I cannot stand it. From the cutesy, annoying as hell, personality-less characters, to the boring chore like day-by-day activities. There is no plot, no point, and I have never felt so unattached to characters in games, when clearly with the point of the game, I should be anything but unattached. I'm not a big shooter fan anymore, but I wish I could have purchased a shotgun from Tom's sh*tty ass store and mowed all those stupid mornic animals that always ask me to go find their lost items, or send them letters that I know full well they won't be able to read anyways, the f*ck down.
I also hate having to cycle through pages of tedious badly written text everytime I do something minor, like visiting that lost and found place.
I put up with the crappy game for a week or two, just until I got to a stage where I could get me some awesome NES games. It was too much after a while though and I haven't played the game since.
Irrational hatred for a game?

Thanks everyone...

I played Okami for about 40-60 minutes when I first bought it and haven't played it since. I really tried to like it, but I didn't enjoy it at all. To be honest, I was bordering on hating it tooStuntDouble wrote:I can not stand Okami. I bought it because it was hyped as one of the best games for the PS2, and real work of art..I can't stand the way the characters talk. It is the most annoying gibberish I have ever heard.
I'm hesitant to think I really didn't give it a fair chance though, so will try it again one day, because so many people praise it a lot.

If you expect it to be a like a mainstream console FPS, you will be disappointed. If you like ok FPS games, RPG lite skill trees and fabulous loots, that is the mindset to enjoy the game. If it isn't for you, so be it.StuntDouble wrote:Borderlands. I don't understand what is so special about this game. I hate everything after the intro.

I probably should have played it more but it didn't click with me during the time I spent playing it.o.pwuaioc wrote:Anyone else can't stand Harvest Moon?

First of All, all the persona games. for the first year or so i liked it a whole lot, mainly because i was in love with the Shin Megami Tensei games...then came the realization that the persona games were full of teen angst and happy times, unlike it's the rest of the SMT games...it was like if a emo tried to be dark and scary but could never really pull it off. then came frustration...then came over obsession from weaboo's....including my now ex-girlfriend. they made it seem as persona was the only part of the SMT series and the other games were only side stuff. then came the hate.
other games i can think of...probably halo. which as I'm typing this out my roommate is playing HALO Reach....the ONLY game he EVER plays.

To address a couple of things:
Lisalover's comments on the NES mark the first time I've ever had my view of the system line up with someone else's.
It was my first system, but apart from fondly remembering the day my Dad brought it home for me and my adoration of Mario Bros. 3, it just doesn't do anything for me at all. I don't hate it, I'm just indifferent.
-----
Another first, I've never heard anyone else say they liked the sailing in Wind Waker. Even people who loved the game usually tell me they hated the sailing. I loved it. Nice to see others who did as well.
-----
Majora's Mask is brilliant. Also, if I've said once I've said it a million times, but anyone who felt rushed playing that game clearly did not know the Inverted Song of Time. If they did, well, I don't know what to say. It just doesn't make sense to me.
-----
Harvest Moon haters? You just made a very powerful enemy.
-----
I don't have any hatred for any particular game, at least not that I can recall. I get pretty damn pissy about Call of Duty, but that's more due to it's many obnoxious tryhard fans than the games themselves.

Re: Irrational hatred for a game?
There was a long stretch of time where I couldn't stand Resident Evil because Blockbuster had accidently rented it to me. Imagine my surprise and horror as I found my self being attacked by zombies and not knowing which button fired my gun. The furthest I got was figuring out how to RAISE my gun and maybe to the next screen. I just thought it was incredibly stupid that a game would make you have to raise a gun and THEN shoot it in a zombie game. That just turned me off to the series completely and I haven't touched a Resident Evil since.
I wouldn't say I hate the games irrationally though, in fact I don't really hate them anymore and I'm more open to giving the games another chance. (I was like 8 or 9 or something at the time).

Actually, I'm the same way. I've had one for 2 years, and it just isn't very interesting or fun. It's kind of a "meh" system.CFFJR wrote:To address a couple of things:
