That game flat out sucks. I don't think that counts as irrational hatred.
Yeah, tell me that when I was 5 and have an obsession with X-Men.

Obsessions are powerful things. I remember one of my brothers used to absolutely obsessed with Scooby Doo. He played every Scooby videogame he could get his hands on, no matter how wretched it was, even the game based off the live-action Scooby Doo 2 movie. He was about the same age as you were when you were into X-Men.

I'm gonna agree with First-Person games. I really hate that I can't see myself and as a result, I automatically skip any game that has no Third-Person mode.

I had an experience similar to yours, with the big difference that I was 11-12 years old. I was obssessed with The Punisher after watching the movie, I got the comics, DVD's and even UMD of the film so you can imagine how excited I was when Volition announced the videogame. I was utterly crushed and dissapointed with the result, I expected something like Max Payne and I got an arcade game with some insane cuts and censorship.

I got it recently and it's good but again, the scoring system is FUBAR'd and the game is heavily cut and since I don't have an Action Replay then I can't remove the filters making it more tame than the movies or comics.

Mine's not neccesarily hatred, as much huge dissapointment causing dislike. I was overhyped for years on Ocarina of Time. I got it and..... it played pretty much like a slightly less fun, 3D A Link To The Past that had that stupid water dungeon. I was so dissapointed that it played just like a bunch of other action adventure games, and just didn't feel up to the par of 'Best Game Ever'. I've beat it once, and I'm trying to play it again... but its not that fun really. I don't know.

Oh, and I have an extreme hatred of the Oddworld games. I played them once at a friends house, and for some reason hated them reeeally bad.

Oh, and Fallout. I haven't played 1 and 2, but 3 and New Vegas are just... meh. I don't really like them. Just something about the atmosphere...

Holy shit, someone else that was disappointed with Ocarina after playing Link to the Past. I felt the same. So much of Ocarina seemed like it was rehashed from LttP. Thats not to say I didn't enjoy it, as it was still a fun game, and the 3D combat was done very well. I just really enjoyed LttP before Ocarina came out, and when it did, it just didn't feel quite as unique as everyone else seemed to think it was.

I actually felt the same way about Mario 64. I really liked Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, and even Super Mario World 2 Yoshi's Island. With the huge differences in between each game, I expected Mario 64 to just be crazy as hell. And... it was, but just not in the way that I had grown to love.

Billy Hatcher for the GC. Usually I don't mind this but the way everyone spoke gibberish really got on my nerves, and it seemed boring and rather bland despite being so colorful. I think it was so upbeat it just seemed forced.

Touche'

Granted, its not the little girls that make me like the game. And, if the bosses were also little girls, I probably wouldn't even play it. Not to mention the slow ass bullets.

I don't mind characters in a shmup (Gunbird 2 and Shikigami 2 are some of my favorites), but I don't really like it when every single character is a little girl. I just don't have any fascination with little girls I suppose.
