Re: Bubsy
I played it on a rental way back when and I don't recall it being bad, but not particularly great either.

This is true.
I played it for the first time in 2008, with no nostalgia to help me enjoy it. I hate it. I don't like the physics, the levels are too big, and Bubsy dies way too easily. And the second game, which I've also played, was only worse. Most Genesis non-Sonic 2D platformers don't seem to have aged very well at all (I'm looking at you, Disney licensed platformers!)

Re: Bubsy
I bought this game when it was released. It felt like a boring Sonic. You just run and bounce around the levels looking for balls of yarn, which do nothing for you. There was little challenge and little reason to continue. I returned the game after a few days. Back then, I never hesitated to return a bad game. K-Mart and Software Etc accepted open video game returns. I miss the days of the publisher/retailer being held responsible for poorly made games.

You crazy! Castle of Illusion, Quackshot, Aladdin and the Lion King are all fantastic games.

I think Castle of Illusion is just "ok," and Lion King is mediocre. Haven't touched the other two. I'm of the opinion that all of those Disney Genesis games are over-rated.

Fuck, you have some dirty balls.
Sorry, I can't take a review seriously with a name like that, the word "fuck" thrown around so much in just a few paragraphs, and not even an attempt at proper grammar.

Same here. I played the Genesis Disney games at friend's house and they weren't as good as the NES Disney games. They were pretty for sure but didn't play as well. They were good but certainly not fantastic like the NES ones.

Not true for me. I bought the game, played it for a few days, then returned it to Kmart. I distinctly remember it being one of the worst games I have ever played.
