apparently this game was popular. when it came out in the early 90s. i dont know why. its fucking stupid. your a cat and your going around collecting balls. he dosent like getting wet. he cant fall from high places. he cant touch anything or he dies. so dont run. dont get close to anything. and look before you leap.
i played the first 3 levels and just wanted to hang myself with my controller cord. hes got clever little quips before the start of every level. he has funny animations when he dies. its got some decent graphics and the colors are fun to look at. the same stupid song played through all 3 levels that i played. a mute button should be required to play this game.
i mean to be fair, its not a bad game. its just boring. theres a jump button and a jump higher button. and you can do this falling flying kind of thing. jumping on top of enemies heads and collecting balls. they def played it safe when they made this game.
notice how much time they give you? yeah you fucking need it cause your not sonic the fucking headge hog running through this god damn game. 9 lives to start with … yeah hes a cat , 9 lives, har har.

Re: Bubsy
It would help if you mentioned which platform you played the game on in your "review". Looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bubsy, it appears that it was available for SNES, Genesis, Jaguar, PS1

Well, the thing was that when Sonic and Mario came out, everyone wanted a piece of trying to create their own memorable mascots for their own company so you had Bubsy, that dude with the mohawk for the SNES ( I forgot his name ) Alfred Chicken and a couple more that I can't think of from the top of my head and Bubsy was one of them and he had his last dying breathe in Bubsy 3D for the PlayStation.
My favorite was Bubsy 2 SNES of the Bubsy series.

I had that game when I was younger for the SNES. I know exactly what song you're talking about and can hear it in my head right now lol. Some of the levels were cool (I think?) There was a train level with giraffes and stuff in the cars I believe lol. The space level was the final level I think, oh the memories.
My friend's mom loved that game. She borrowed it and played it for a long time.

Re: Bubsy
i actually enjoyed this game when it first came out and i still do. i find the soundtrack catchy and the game difficulties just about right. yes, this Bubsy character was over hyped by Accolades, but i give them credit for trying hard.
the best version in the series is the first one. Bubsy 2, Bubsy: Fractured Fury Tales for the Jaguar and especially Bubsy 3D for PS1 are the downfall of the series for me. Even the TV Series pilot was a big down fall.

I got this recently for the mega drive in a lot from ebay. I have never played it. It went straight to my video game purgatory on my bottom shelf. This thread has convinced me that it may never, and should never arise.

Re: Bubsy
Sonic the Hedgehog (attitude and speed) on the SNES (and later the Mega Drive as well).
The best, and worst, feature was that Bubsy had over a dozen death animations... which you would see given how fragile he was. (Unlike Sonic, who could take a few if you kept holding onto at least one ring.)
